Wildlife Habitat Port Douglas

Wildlife Habitat Port Douglas has provided an update on its soon-to-open ‘Swim with the Salties’ experience as its new CrocArena attraction nears completion.

Only months away, the highly anticipated Queensland-first will allow guests, the chance to enter a pool with a saltwater crocodile with only a sheet of perspex separating them from the powerful animal.

CrocArena is also being purpose built for Crocodile shows, with grandstand seating for 300 people, as well as an underwater viewing area where visitors can watch the feeding ‘eye-to-teeth’ with the fascinating apex predators.

Freedom Whale Watch Fishing and Dive Charters

Welcome to our newest member Freedom Whale Watch Fishing and Dive Charters.

Enjoy more time with the Humpback Whales who call into Hervey Bay on their Southern Migration to rest and play between July and October.

Hervey Bay is the first Whale Heritage sight in the world and the best place to view whales in Australia as they are not just swimming past. They actually come into the Bay for rest and recreation and are well known for getting up close and personal with the tour boats.

Freedom III is a 17.6m power catamaran with four viewing levels and a water level platform for really close encounters. Morning Tea, Lunch and Afternoon Tea are included in the 6 hours tour which departs at 9:30 daily.

The family owned business is well known for great hospitality, informative commentary and fun and caring crew. There is a courtesy bus available to collect you from local accommodation.

Numbers are capped at 46 passengers so there is no fear of crowding.
