Ship Inn Stanley

The north west corner of Tasmania is rugged and stunning, the perfect place to lose yourself to natures wild oceans, stunning rolling hills, the Tarkine wilderness and cliffs dropping to the sea. The award winning Ship Inn Stanley is the perfect base, nestled at the base of the Nut, an extinct volcanic plug, surrounded by beaches and an exquisite historical village, it is a delightful blend of stylish luxury and history.

Each of the suites and apartments within the walls of the Ship Inn Stanley has a compelling tale to tell. The hardest decision you’ll have to make is which one to immerse yourself in.

Whatever your choice of accommodation Stanley, be assured you’ll be lost in timeless elegance. Whilst all suites are unique, what they do share are impeccable attention to detail. Think historical artefacts, original artwork, bespoke joinery and custom fittings. Every suite boasts rich linens, quality cottons, sumptuous feather and down pillows and mattress toppers, hand stitched cushions, a contemporary ensuite with walk in shower, and indulgent Salus toiletries.

Amongst all the expected staples, the custom kitchenette (and full kitchen in the apartments) includes a microwave, coffee pod machine and bar fridge. All stays include a simple continental breakfast of fresh bread, Tasmanian jams & yoghurt, rhubarb compote, poached apple, milk, juice, quality toasted muesli, artisan tea and coffee. Enjoy in the privacy of your suite or wander outside to take in the fresh salt air and views on the front verandah, or enjoy in the sumptuous guest lounge.

The Ship Inn Stanley evokes intrigue and beauty. Indulge yourself in the suite of your choice and bask in the story of a bygone era.

(Note Ship Inn Stanley does not accept children. We recommend our alternative venue “Little Talisker” , a family holiday cottage just four doors along from Ship Inn Stanley which is fully set up to cater for children).
