Wildlife Habitat Port Douglas

The award-winning Wildlife Habitat, located in Port Douglas, provides visitors with a chance to experience the wildlife of Wetlands, Rainforest, Savannah, Nocturnal and Woodlands environments in an open and interactive setting. Start your day with a sumptuous Breakfast With The Birds or stop for a break and enjoy hot and cold drinks, lunch or a quick snack in the Curlew Café throughout the day.

Explore the Rainforest Habitat from forest floor to canopy, and admire the wildlife that call this environment home, including the southern cassowary. Savannah Habitat offers you the opportunity to hand-feed kangaroos and wallabies, as well as appreciate emus and the Lumholtz’s Tree Kangaroo. Dive into the aquatic territory of the mighty Estuarine Crocodile at the popular CrocArena. This off-the-scale Swim With The Salties experience is the only one of its kind in Queensland and allows guests to swim eye-to-teeth with these terrifying apex predators and live to tell the tale! Explore our Nocturnal Habitat to get up close and personal with elusive animal species including Striped Possums, Bettongs and Mahogany Gliders.

Join a guided tour with one of our experienced Wildlife Keepers to learn more about the wildlife inhabiting the park. You can have your photo taken with a koala or a reptile to remember the occasion.
