Planetdwellers have returned from another successful Broken Heel Festival bus tour, departing from and returning to Sydney.
The Broken Heel Festival celebrates the anniversary of Priscilla Queen of the Desert each year in Broken Hill, with three days of drag, comedy, cabaret and social events.
This was the second year for the Planetdwellers after last year’s inaugural tour. The trip was bigger and better and we had so much fun with a group of 25 participating in the Broken Heel Pride march.
The march was incredibly well attended and supported by the locals on a very hot Saturday afternoon.
Another highlight on the Broken Heel festival opening night and sold out Saturday night performances of so many amazing Drag Queen and Kings was the exclusive “Planetdwellers Bubbles by the Pool” with special guest Drag King Freddie Merkin.
On the Sunday, the Broken Heel festivities moved to the even more remote Silverton pub which provides a truly unique Australian drag experience and is the perfect backdrop to a fabulous time.
Check out our Facebook page to see a few of the photo highlights of our journey including some hilarious photo shoots in stunning places like the Mundi Mundi Plains, Cobar, Silverton and of course Broken Hill.
Bookings for the 2020 Broken Heel bus tour by Planetdwellers ex Sydney will be opening up in the next two weeks. Look out for an exciting announcement of the new Planetdwellers bus tour departing from Melbourne in 2020!
