Daylesford

In the foothills of the Great Dividing Range you will find Daylesford, an idyllic small town that is considered the gay capital of regional Victoria. Every March Daylesford hosts the Chillout Festival, Australia’s number one Queer Country Pride Festival. The rest of the year, this charming regional town is a haven for members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Surrounded by beautiful wilderness and natural springs, Daylesford is an excellent retreat from everyday life. Nearby Hepburn Springs, only a ten minute drive from Daylesford, is the spa capital of Victoria, with natural mineral springs perfect for a weekend of pampering.

There are also several ways to explore history in Daylesford, like the historic architecture at the Convent Art Gallery, the restored vintage trains on the Daylesford Country Railway, and the remnants of gold mining in the Cornish Hill Reserve.
